Kirsten Duin – Early Childhood Learning Center Director
My name is Kirsten Duin. At Peace, we do our very best to assist parents in caring for their child by meeting your child’s spiritual, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs. We strive to meet these needs by planning hands on active learning activities.
I graduated with my Bachelors of Education in Early Childhood from Martin Luther College in 2012. Prior to Peace, from 2012 to 2018 I served as the Preschool Director and Lead Preschool Teacher at Cross of Christ in Coon Rapids, MN.
Please consider entrusting Grow in Peace as a place for your most precious blessings. There is no greater gift you can give your children than sending them somewhere where you know they are loved and will learn of God’s love for them!
Sarah Mose – 4K Teacher
My name is Sarah Mose, and I am the 4K teacher. It is my privilege to be able to communicate Christ’s love to the children at Peace on a daily basis. My prayer is that my students continually grow in faith and learn more about Jesus, their Savior from sin. I believe children learn best when they feel safe and secure and are able to learn through exploration of their interests and through play.
Prior to teaching at Peace, I taught three, four, and five year-olds at Jesus Loves Me Learning Center in North Mankato, Minnesota, and at St. John’s in Jefferson, Wisconsin.
My favorite part of teaching is watching young children grow spiritually. I love being able to witness children develop a love and excitement for their Savior as they daily learn more about the Word of God.
Amanda Thiede – 3 Year Old Teacher
My name is Amanda Thiede, the 3K teacher. I am excited to assist your child in their spiritual, physical, emotional and psychological development, which are all vital roles in your child’s overall development. I am so blessed to share the good news of Jesus, everyday, and strengthen our faith, together as a family.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science in Education, with a major in PK-12 Physical Education and minors in Health Education and Coaching Athletics.
I am excited to get back into education after being a stay-at-home mom since October 2013. Prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom, I was an elementary Physical Education teacher for five years in Portage, Wisconsin. In addition to teaching Physical Education, in Portage, I coached middle school volleyball and track as well as freshman girls basketball.
My favorite part of teaching is the relationships I create with the families. A strong connection between school and home creates a positive learning environment. With the help of God, I look forward to that positive learning environment with your family.
Melanie Leiterman – 3K Assistant

I am the 3K Assistant at Grow in Peace and will work in different classrooms, primarily at the end of the school day. I love working with children off all ages and helping them grow physically, socially, and emotionally. It is a blessing to watch children grow and discover new things. I have taught in different classrooms from 1 year-olds all the way to high school seniors.
My husband Justin and I have lived in Sun Prairie since 2001. We have two children; Megan and Colin. Biking, cooking, and skiing are just a few of the things we enjoy together.

Lisa Myhre – 2 Year Old Teacher
Hello! My name i Lisa Myhre and I am one of the Co-Lead teachers in the 2 year-old classroom here at Grow in Peace Learning Center. I am very excited to be a part of this new Christ-centered facility! The cognitive abilities of these children’s minds at this developmental age is so great. What better way to teach them than in an environment reflecting God’s grace and love through Jesus!
Beyond raising my three boys, I have been a Sunday school teacher at Lord of Love Lutheran Church for the last eight years where I have taught grades Pre-K through 2nd. I am also beginning classes for my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Wisconsin Lutheran College this fall.
In the 2 year-old classroom, we will provide the children with a safe, nurturing and loving environment where we will learn through a variety of age-appropriate hands-on activities and play. My favorite part about teaching is experiencing the children’s love of learning and, most importantly, their growing love of their Savior.
Cathy Gresens – 2 Year Old Teacher
My name is Mrs. Cathy Gresens and I am excited to be teaching the Two’s classroom. I have taught the Mommies, Music and More classes at Peace Lutheran for the last 7 years and have fallen in love with my 0-4 year old students. Although I graduated from UW Madison in Spanish, I have been taking Early Childhood Education classes for the last few years. I can’t wait to share my love of music and art with the toddlers and believe that children learn best through play. I am especially excited to be part of a ministry that gives me the opportunity to share God’s love everyday! My husband Michael and I have been blessed with 5 children.
Anne Ganter – 1 Year Old Teacher
My name is Anne Ganter. I am the co-lead teacher in the one-year-old room. I enjoy watching the little ones “Grow in Peace”, where every day they learn new things. The most important thing that they will learn is that they are Jesus’ little lambs, and He will always lead them through life. I believe the best way for these little lambs to learn is through active learning and playing. Prior to working at Grow in Peace, I was the aftercare teacher at Peace for the 3 and 4-year-olds. In addition to working to Peace and being a mom to my three very active boys, I have many years of experience in caring for other children, including those with special needs, in both in-home and school settings, as well as working with families of diverse backgrounds. My favorite part of teaching this age is their enthusiasm to learn and discover the world around them. I look forward to watching the little children grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Melissa Syverson – Infant Lead Teacher
Hi, my name is Melissa Syverson. I have two beautiful daughters named Amaya and Amelia. Amaya is 6 and Amelia is 3.5. I have a wonderful supporting husband who works hard and loves us dearly. We also have a family pet, her name is Bella. She is an 80 pound 12.5 year old Weimaraner who loves to snuggle and give kisses.
I previously worked at two other centers; one while I was in school and the other was after I graduated. I attended WCTC in Pewaukee, WI and received my Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. While employed with these companies, I worked as an assistant teacher in the room. I mainly worked with infants, but also have experience in the toddler and preschool aged children. I love working with children of all ages and helping them learn and develop through activities and play. The best part is watching them discover something they could do all on their own. Their sense happiness and confidence is the most heartwarming sight a teacher loves to see.
I plan on providing a warm, loving, stable, enriching environment where parents and children feel comfortable and welcome. We will work with the children on developing new milestones within their first year of life.
I look forward to meeting your precious children and helping them grow not only developmentally, but also in faith with the Lord.
